Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use yuzu.help, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, screen magnification or other assistive technology. This is a voluntary statement about where the site stands today.

Statement date:

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has not been audited by an independent expert, so we do not claim full conformance.

What we do

  • The whole site is available in English and Turkish, and every page declares its language so screen readers pronounce the text correctly.
  • We build pages to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on links and buttons.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives (alt text); decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • We check text and buttons for sufficient colour contrast, and you can enlarge text with your browser's zoom.
  • Headings, lists and page landmarks give each page a structure that assistive technology can navigate.
  • The intro animation is skipped when your device is set to reduce motion.

Known limits

Some parts of yuzu.help do not yet work well for everyone:

  • Maps, such as the neighbourhood map, are hard or impossible to use with a screen reader. Where we can, we give the same information as text, for example in the neighbourhood guides.
  • Some charts and visual comparisons may not have a full text alternative yet.
  • PDFs you save from the CV builder, the arrival pack or the document checklist are made by your browser's print function and may not be fully accessible; for example, they may not be tagged for screen readers.
  • Some older articles and images may not yet meet every point above. Websites we link to are outside our control.

Report a problem

If something on yuzu.help is hard for you to use, or you need information in another format, email info@yuzu.help. Tell us the page address and what went wrong. We read every message and will try to fix the problem or get the information to you another way.

About this statement

We prepared this statement on 29 October 2026, based on our own review of the site. We will update it as we fix the issues above or find new ones.
