Opening February 2027

Yuzu Academy

Learn Japanese, and how Japan works, before you need it.

Yuzu Academy is a full learning platform from the yuzu.help team, separate from the guides and the blog: structured courses built from short lessons, exercises and progress tracking. It opens with foundation Japanese for complete beginners, Japanese culture, and the unwritten social and professional rules that nobody explains to newcomers.

Yuzu Academy opens in February 2027 on yuzu.help and in the Yuzu Mobile app. Yuzu Mobile launches in December 2026.

What you will learn

The first release focuses on beginner level. Intermediate and advanced Japanese modules, and further topics, follow in later releases.

Module 1

Foundation Japanese

Hiragana, katakana, pronunciation, core grammar and the vocabulary of everyday life, taught from zero in short, ordered lessons.

Module 2

Practical Japanese

What to say at the ward office, the bank, the clinic, the convenience store and at work, with listening practice built on our phrase cards.

Module 3

Japanese culture

Seasons, festivals, food, homes, school and working life: the context behind daily routines, so Japan feels familiar before you arrive.

Module 4

Unwritten rules

Etiquette, social expectations and professional ethics: the things no form tells you, from bowing and gift-giving to apologising, hierarchy and the meaning of silence.

How it works

Short lessons

Each lesson takes a few minutes and ends with an exercise, so you learn by doing rather than by scrolling.

Explained in English and Turkish

Japanese is taught with explanations in your own language, like everything else on yuzu.help.
